Build an 800 point team. No tactics except theme teams.
4/12/2014 – Seven Deadly Sins
500 Point Constructed
Players will be randomly assigned one of the following each match:
Envy – You cannot use any standard powers that is not showing on the dial of one of your opponent’s active characters. Special powers and traits act as normal.
Gluttony – One of your characters must be assigned a power action each turn to “eat”. If you cannot assign an eat action, give a character an unavoidable click of damage instead.
Greed – After the map is chosen but before sides are determined, place 5 special relic tokens with a 5 or 6 relic roll on the board. They must be at least 3 squares from each other. Any of your characters without a relic on their card are at -1 to all combat values.
Lust – Your characters have -1 to attack, defense, and damage against characters of the opposite sex and may not attack them unless all characters of the same sex have been KO’ed.
Pride – Your characters’ combat values are locked and you may not use probability control on a friendly character.
Sloth – Your characters may not use move and attack powers and may not attack after being TK’ed.
Wrath – Your characters may not make ranged combat attacks and may not be carried.
No tactics aside from theme teams. No team bases.
4/19/2014 – AvX Finale
500 Point Single Booster + Constructed
Players will purchase one HeroClix five-figure booster of their choice from their store. Any player who has already declared a faction will continue to fight for that faction. Any new players must declare for either Avengers or X-Men.
Players will bring at least one figure and no more than 400 points from their chosen faction’s AvX starter set or participation prizes. Players will then utilize a combination of the contents of their booster, AvX participation reward figures (e.g. Danger, Black Panther, etc.), and their selected starter set characters to finalize their 500 point team.
No tactics aside from the Phoenix Force resource and fragments may be used (so no theme teams).
Upon completion of the event, faction points will be determined based on the top X number of players from each faction, where X equals the smaller of the two factions. These faction points are important because the top two players of the winning faction and the top player of the losing faction will earn an LE figure at the end of all the AvX events.
The Dark Phoenix Cyclops LE will be awarded to the 1st place winner. The top two players from the winning faction and the top player from the losing faction (across all AvX events) will be awarded a Phoenixbuster Iron Man LE. The first 10 registered Avengers players who complete the event will earn an Avengers team base. The first 10 registered X-Men players who complete the event will earn an X-Men team base. Additionally, the first 20 registered players who complete the event will earn a Magik Fragment 3D Special Object (for use with the Phoenix Force Resource Dial).
