Your commander MUST come from one of the Ravnica Blocks and be associated with ONE of the guilds (You actually get a victory point for using the guild’s key words AND LOSE a victory point for using another guild’s key words. i.e. your Linvalla of the Tenth /Azorious deck will get a< +1> point for its use of DETAIN, but lose a point <-1> if you OVERLOAD that cyclonic rift The details are posted at the counter if you want to eyeball’em- otherwise typical EDH/Commander ban list applies.

7/27/2013 – Dodge Ball
500 Point Melee
Each player will place 3 special ball objects on the map. Any character can pick these objects up as if they had super strength (though standard rules apply for the normal objects). These objects do not deal damage and can only be used for ranged attacks. However, they can be thrown up to 8 squares (using a standard ranged attack).

If the ball hits an opposing character, the controlling player must place that character in their starting area. The ball will now “bounce” a random direction and distance (roll a D8 and D4 for direction and distance). The attacking player earns 10 victory points.If the ball misses the character by 3 or more, place the attacking character in the starting area instead and the target may now hold the ball that was thrown at them. If they’re already holding one, place it in an adjacent square of the defending player’s choosing.No feats, resources, or team bases.

7/20/2013 – Fear Itself Month 2

400 Point Booster Draft

Players who participated in the month 1 event will retain their assigned faction. New players will be randomly assigned to either the Mighty or the Worthy. Remember, the top players in the winning faction after month 6’s event will earn a Nul LE figure, so represent your faction well!

 

Pre-registered players will build a 400 point team using 1 Fear Itself booster and 1 standard booster purchased at the store. If more than 20 players sign up, the subsequent players may still compete for the event prize, but will purchase two standard boosters and are not eligible for the Fear Itself participation prizes. Mulligans will only be allowed, but only for your standard booster.

 

Players may bring ONE Fear Itself figure of up to 150 points that they already own and add it to their team build.

 

Resources  and Relics from the Fear Itself Scenario Packs or any previous month’s  Marvel HeroClix: Fear Itself events are allowed for use on a player’s  force.

 

All pre-registered participants (up to 20) will be awarded Mokk’s Hammer 3D Object and the event winners will earn an LE Hela figure.

• I will average the number of points earned for each guild and the highest average guild members will get a pack prize for their guild winning the gauntlet.
• The Top 2 players will face off in a one on one match best of 3 with same deck for the rest of the prize. It is kill or be killed in final game for points don’t count last game.

Boros-  Radiance- cast a spell with Radiance +1 point

Battalion- attack and activate a Battalion Effect  +1 point

 

Azorious- Forecast- Activate Forecast on a spell +1 point

Detain- Detain another persons permanent +1 Point

 

Dimir- Transmute- Activate the Transmute ability of a card +1 point

Cipher- Cast a spell with cipher (not cipher to a creature but cast the second go around) +1 point

 

Golgari- Dredge – Activate the Dredge effect of a card in your graveyard +1 point

Scavenge – Scavenge a creature from your Graveyard +1 point

 

Gruul- Bloodthirst- Trigger Bloodthirst and benefit +1 point

Bloodrush- Discard a creature with Bloodrush to enhance any creature +1 point

 

Selesnya- Populate – Populate a token with Populate +1 point

Convoke – Cast a spell with convoke and tap at least one creature to help pay its cost +1 point

Traitor to your cause – Be able to gain a point from another guilds specific point bonus -2 points (can be gained up to 3 times per game)

 

Get a clue – Cast and sacrifice your guilds cluestone +1 point

 

Back to the Basics – Play nothing but basic lands for the entire game +2 points

 

Prince Charming – Cast a your guilds charm +1

 

Unconventional Means – Win via an alternate win condition like Epic Struggle +1 point

 

Slave Labor – Activate Mindslaver or Sorin Markov’s third ability -1 point (Can be gotten more than once per game)

 

Get a Life – Gain 5 life or more in one turn without using Extort +1 point

 

Tuck Him in for the Night – Put an opponents General in their deck +1 point

 

Guild Meeting – control 3 or more Legendary Creatures that are both of your guilds colors +1 point

 

Flip you for it – Win a coin flip from a spell effect +1 point (can be gained up to 4 times per game)

 

Legen wait for it Dary – Control 7 or more legendary permanents at one point in the game +2 points

 

Playing Solitaire – Take more than 2 extra turns over the course of the game. -1 point .

 

End of Game Points

+2 Points – By Each Their Own –- If every player eliminated from the game is eliminated by a different State Based Action, each player on the table receives this accomplishment. The ways to lose are: Drawing from an empty library, General Damage, Life at 0 or less, 10 poison counters.

 

+1 Point – The Bigger They Are, the Harder They Fall — The person with the highest life total when he/she died (for combat death, look at the life total before combat damage was applied) wins a point.

 

+1 Point – He Who Dies With the Most Toys, Loses — The person who had the least artifacts in play when he/she died wins a point.

 

+1 Point – What Friends? — The person who had the least creatures in play when he/she died wins a point.

 

+1 Point – Huge Tracts of Land — The person who had the least lands in play when he/she died wins a point.
